戰爭和平系列－似曾相識的星球 War and Peace Series – A Familiar Planet

NASA「創新號」創下人類史上首次在火星完成動力飛行的紀錄，為探索火星與太陽系其他星球開創更多可能性。太空梭載來手執雷射槍、裝備著最新科技支援系統的太空人，腳踏著與地球相似的星球地表．停留於身後的挪亞方舟似乎隱含著延續人類生命的希望，然而，太空人的面罩映照出虛幻的和平；藉由希臘神話《伊卡洛斯的墜落》（The Fall of Icarus）提醒世人在面對浩瀚資源的同時，也應深刻反省自身。

整體作品構圖簡潔，對於局部細節則是仔細描繪，使畫面疏密安排帶有秩序感。畫面主角採用高明視度的橘色調，與後方深藍夜幕及低彩度遠景，相互襯托。遠處墜落的伊卡洛斯、正要升空的太空船及自動駕駛直升機等象徵元素，增加了畫面的動態感。

In April 2021, NASA’s Ingenuity successfully completed its first flight, marking a new chapter in space exploration and setting a historic milestone in humankind’s conquest of other worlds.

The artist uses his 2015 painting “Please Give Me a Drop of Water” to depict a scene on an unfamiliar planet. A spacecraft has landed, bringing humans from Earth—armed with laser guns and dressed in advanced life-support suits. Perhaps they are asking: “Have we been here before?”

Behind them, a Noah’s Ark-like vessel symbolizes the hope of preserving human life.
Yet, Earth’s inhabitants seem to carry with them the same greedy, destructive mindset—an endless cycle of consuming and damaging nature, until every planet begins to feel eerily familiar.

The myth of The Fall of Icarus serves as a metaphor for humanity’s arrogance in its desire to dominate the vast cosmos.
